Meet The Need is a 501(c)3 non-profit that brings the world of local missions into the 21st century. Churches have traditionally struggled to process, filter, and communicate (to its members) the vast array of needs of charities and families in the community. And charities find it far too difficult to get the word out to local churches and companies about their volunteer, resource, family, drive and event needs. In this modern age where social networking and business connect so efficiently, it’s troubling that local missions is still conducted via pen, paper, phone calls and emails.

Now for the first time, through Meet The Need charities can communicate their needs to a large number of churches, companies and the community. And churches (and even companies) can show their members/employees live opportunities to serve in ways that fit their skills and interests.

Our solution is not a single web site to see and meet needs. Instead, Meet The Need empowers your church and charity with all of the tools you will ever need to manage and communicate all of your charitable activities. It even looks like your organization’s web site and puts you in complete control – dictating what needs show up on your site and seeing where every member and team has served.

Best of all, as a non-profit ministry, we offer all this to you at NO CHARGE! Our mission is simply to unite and mobilize cities to bring far more help and hope to those in need.

Came across your site while researching local mission opportunities. I recently transplanted to a small church in Virginia, and have created some opportunities for local missions in our church. It was like throwing crumbs to a pack of hungry gators. The desire is there, but no direction where to put it, so I am putting together a campaign to create community outreach and discipleship opportunities through service every week. Would be interested in ideas and suggestions for service projects and coordination ideas. Blessings!
