Jim Morgan shares about Drop The Stone on Mornings with Carmen LaBerge on Faith Radio

December 19, 2024

Jim Morgan of Meet The Need and Drop The Stone talks about a movement to go against our hyperpolarization and angst, and choosing to be kind those we disagree with, during this contentious Presidential election season. No matter how we viewed the election outcome, our job as believers is to BE the church in good times and bad. Church is not a place we go on Sundays, it’s each of us loving our neighbors, particularly those who don’t know Jesus, all week long. Fostering genuine community means being willingness to sit at the table for open and honest discussions with those across the political or socioeconomic aisle. Love without condoning. Care without condemning. Pray without ceasing.

The City Leader Collective: Past, Present, and Future of Meet The Need (starting at 32:56)

August 21, 2024

Meet The Need was founded in the early 2000s to bridge communication gaps in cities between those in need and those who could help. We began with a call center and app to connect church members with local low-income families. Word got out and churches and ministries soon asked MTN to build a complete suite of local missions tools (the first Volunteer, Event, and Case Management systems). By 2013, national leaders around critical causes asked MTN to customize our apps to address food rescue, homelessness, foster care, recidivism, etc. Finally, Link2Hope returns MTN to its roots, building circles of ongoing support around families as they plot their own course to a brighter future.
