Internal Volunteer Management

Take Administrative Burden off Your Church's Staff

Run Greeters, Ushers, Nursery, etc. volunteering with ease

Many churches struggle with managing internal volunteers, putting an undue burden on church staff. Imagine members going to your web site to select ministries they're interested in. What if your members received email notifications whenever ministries they've volunteered with in the past post new needs? Would it be more efficient if your members could search for weekend time slots for each internal ministry on your web site? What if you could restrict access to certain ministry's needs to only to those who've been background-checked? Finally, how much time would be saved if all cancellations, reminders and updates were automated?

Empower Internal Ministry Leaders with Modern Tools

Handle all your sign-ups, tracking and logistics automatically online

Your church asks internal leaders to manage their respective ministries. But what tools do you give them to communicate and track their ministry's activities? They're left to rely on word of mouth to recruit, spreadsheets to keep track of who's coming, and phone calls and emails to deal with shortages or last-minute cancellations. Meet The Need equips your lay leaders with best-practice communication and tracking tools to handle their respective ministries.

Features

Recruit

Form teams and broadcast internal volunteer needs

The days of sign-up sheets and walking the hallways of the church looking for volunteers are over. Through Meet The Need, members have the opportunity to "join" those internal ministry "teams". Or church staff can assign members to those ministries. Each internal ministry has it own "Dashboard" to post needs and read reports, while automated emails notify team members when new shifts are posted.

Register

Sign up ministry volunteers on your web site

Imagine taking registrations on your church's web site for each internal ministry. For example, when the Greeters team leader posts new shifts, the "Serve as a Greeter" button on your web site instantly shows members those new shifts and lets members sign up online. Could you mobilize more people to serve if the burden didn't fall on you to try to locate, match up, and manage all volunteer logistics for volunteers? Whether members use the button on your web site or click the Volunteer link in the automated email, the entire interface looks exactly like your web site!

Remind and Update

Make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be

Do you ever get too few or too many volunteers? How do you ensure everyone is in the right place at the right time? How can you find replacements for last-minute cancellations? Through Meet The Need, shifts that are filled instantly disappear from your web site. Online cancellations make those filled needs reappear immediately. Automated confirmations and reminders are sent 21, 7 and 1 day before each shift. Shift leaders can email updates to the group with a click of a button.

Access Controls for Needs and Reports

Restrict who can view sensitive needs and volunteer data

Members must be approved to see the needs of ministries that require background checks or other stipulations (e.g. nursery). Only authorized church staff and ministry leaders can see who has signed up and how many are still needed for each shift. They can also produce (and export) reports showing volunteer hours for any time period, activity, location or shift. All volunteer information is retained on your church's access-controlled Dashboard permanently.

What People are Saying

"What better way to empower God's people to give and serve without having to wait for the next church-organized project. Through Meet The Need, our church's DNA is changing to be one where we are the hands and feet of God as a lifestyle."

"Not only does Meet The Need release the bottle neck at the church staff level on getting serve opportunities to your congregants, but it empowers individuals to put their faith into action. The load has finally been lifted from outreach church staff, who feels the heavy burden of trying to connect gifted servants to needs in the community. Now, at a touch of a button people can match their own personal gifts and promptings directly to a person, ministry or even a non-profit."
